train help/advice

hey guys! i’m currently planning a trip to italy and just need some advice on the best trains to take. i’ve done some research, but it seems like there’s maybe 2 different rails I could take? a high speed and regional? also i’ve heard of trenitalia, italo, train line to book? is there one that’s better than the others?

and how are the stations? is it simple enough to figure out which train to take?

if anyone can give advice on which is the best to take for these locations please let me know!

naples —> rome

rome —> la spezia

la spezia —> venice

venice —> florence

florence —> naples

naples —> amalfi coast

would it be best to book these tickets in advance or there at the station? and where would I book the tickets online? also is there an app that like shows the rails and their stops?

thank you!
