Male Zutarians!

I'm disturbed the stereotype that Kataang is a male fantasy and Zutara is a female fantasy. I like Zutara and I am a man. I liked them all the way back when the show was airing. It just made sense to me thematically in the narrative. I saw Aang as someone who had to grow but unfortunately he didn't grow as much as I hope. I remained attached to Katara, That's not love, Love is willing the good of the other without expecting anything in return. It doesn't mean affirming everything they do. It also doesn't mean being nice.

I felt many things in the finale just fell in Aang's lap with little resistance.

So if you are Make Zutara shipper let your self known!

Iroh affirming Aang's decision to reject the Guru

How do you feel about Iroh affirming Aang's decision to reject the Guru and the Avatar State Mastery in the Crossroads of Destiny. Iroh seemed to commend Aang rejecting power over love.

Zutara is so good it feels real

Zutara is so well written It feels so real that I forget Kataang is canon. Kataang literally lasts just a few seconds in the finale and it feels like a fever dream. Zutara just runs on autopilot in my head after the finale that I assume they grow closer to each past the war.

Zutara is canon when I just muse on the show privately.

I've noticed a new breed of ATLA fan coming out online. They are the one's who bash Iroh for not being as nice to Azula as he is with Zuko. Bash him because he was a former colonizer and do not show any shred of sympathy for him because of this. They even called him genocidal for joking about burning Ba Sing Se. They care little for his sob story with his son. There is no redemption, forgiveness or nuance, It is like they are ignoring the show's theme's altogether.

Their new target is Pakku. Despite his sexist patriarchal arc came full circle. He is now in their crosshairs for being one in the first place.

What has happened to our fandom?

If Kataang and Maiko are supposed to be endgame, why did they decide to split them up for most of the 4 part finale? If you wanted to settle who would be the best couples you want them to interact in the finale. Kataang and Maiko has none of that. Aang is separated from the Gaang after an argument on whether to take Ozai's life and Mai is nowhere to be found until the very end. How did she even get out of the boiling rock? But you know who has the most time together In the finale? Zuko and Katara.

It really boggles my mind. If you were going to prove to me Kataang was endgame despite objections from Katara, the 4 part finale would have been the time to show it.

Am I the only one who though the chemistry between Aang and Tagah was pretty good? Better than with Katara?

I had a fanfiction where Aang's love interest was basically a female Tagah. Zuko and Katara get together.
