Decided to pull my 3DS out to play some, date was reset for some reason then after I went to update the homebrew apps the SD card simply isn't working. Any advice?
The SD card has no damage to it at all, SD card reader works fine with my switch micro-SD. Is the card donezo, then? I have backups but they're kind of old :(
Apologies if this isn't the right sub to post this in, it just seems to be the most active for this type of stuff.
Kind of a blessing in disguise though as the battery seems to be pillowing up a bit.
Just disappointing because it was working perfectly fine as I was just playing it, the only thing that was strange was the date/time was messed up. Then I went to update apps through the homebrew channel and the last update failed, the 3DS restarted into a text menu and then now says SD card not found. Crazy that I've had SD cards that are 15+ years old (sitting in a PSP) that traveled with me to/from school that still read but a card sitting idle in a console for only a year or so decided to die out.
Anyway, any advice?
And if the SD card is dead, what are the steps on to recovering this? I have a backup (from 2023 lol) that I can use to get at least most of my saves back. Do I just format the new card, then copy the stuff, use retik and I'll be good to go?
