If someone has NSVTs documented while exercising with a congenital heart disease with scarring are they usually offered an ICD by their cardiologist?

My brother passed away from an arrhythmia and cardiac arrest. He had history of NSVT while exercise. He was born with TGA with the mustard surgery performed.

Could something emotional have triggered his arrhythmia?

Also, I tried to perform CPR on him but I failed. When paramedics came he was in PEA. Did I fail at performing CPR?

My brother was 42M, 6’4 non smoker. He was on 4 heart medications. My brother had a congenital heart disease. Transposition of the great arteries and had an outdated surgery of mustard senning procedure.

He passed away 4 months ago and on record due to cardiac arrest. After checking his health cardiology records he had reduced right ventricle function, and arythmia history when exercising.

He was completely healthy looking at him and went about his day to day life as normal. I am confused about what happened and what triggered his death. My family did not want to do an autopsy and I am left without answers. Any ideas? Did something cause his death?

My brother had mustard senning surgery for tga. He had severe right ventricle failure, non sustained ventricle tachrydia and scar fibrosis.

Basically he had documented arrhythmia and was not given a pacemaker.

He passed away from sudden cardiac arrest. I am confused with the cardiologist as to why he was not given a pacemaker for arythmia. Anyone experience this and is it appropriate to pursue a formal complaint?

I am a grieving sister who just wants answers. I know this is a complex condition. Do most with documented ventricle tachrydia get pacemakers installed?
