TRV (Visitor Visa) from India – Background Completed, No Update After Processing Time – Normal?

Looking for some insight from people who’ve been through a similar situation.
Applied for a Canada visitor visa (TRV) from India in early March. Biometrics were already valid, so the application moved fairly quickly in the beginning. Myself holds a valid WP. Applied for my spouse to re entry to CA as we had to travel to India due to emergency and her stamping was valid till Dec 2025 but she had a visitor record valid till 2028.
Current status:
- Eligibility: In progress
- Background check: Completed (confirmed via call with IRCC)
- No additional documents requested
- No interview
It’s now been around 28+ working days, and the official processing time recently dropped to about 20 days, so the application has gone beyond that.
Also submitted a webform request — received only a generic reply.
From what I understand:
- File seems complete
- No red flags raised
- Just waiting on final decision
Has anyone else experienced:
- Background completed but long silence after?
- Decision coming after crossing processing time?
How long did it take for you to get PPR after this stage?
Trying to understand if this is still normal or if it indicates deeper review.
