Hello,

My dad died today, semi-unexpectedly (declined last week). He served in the Coast Guard from the early 1970s to the late 1980s (I was born much later so I don’t know the actual dates).

Dad was *very* proud of his service, and I heard he might be eligible for an Honor Guard. Given he was in the reserves for most of his service, I’m not sure if that’s accurate, but if it is would any of you be willing to point me in the right direction?

Also my dad loved a nice drink (especially a Chardonnay or a nice cold preferably cheap beer) and would love the idea of fellow coasties having one in his honor tonight. He was a good soul, and will be missed.
