Is 1 excursion in Denali worth it, if staying in Seward?
Planning a super short ~3 day solo trip to Alaska, with the majority of it being spent in Seward.
I land in Anchorage at 11:15am, and am thinking about driving straight up to Talkeetna for a flight seeing tour of Denali at 4pm.
Tour should end around 5:30pm, and then I’d have to head to Seward to check in to my hotel.
To the folks who have visited Denali, especially via flight tour - is it worth 6+ hours in the car, in one day?
This is one of the excursions that I’m MOST excited about, because the photos look breathtaking! I’m just worried about all the driving. The rest of my trip will be in Seward (and is packed with excursions) so minimal driving afterwards.
Editing to add: this is taking place late May of this year (next weekend, lol)
