Made the world's ugliest catio off of my bathroom window with PVC, chicken wire, zipties, and some bricks. I didnt measure anything and the only tools used was a wire saw for the pvc and wire cutters for the chickenwire. I sourced the bricks and turf from neighborhood trash so all together it was less than 50 dollars to make. They fits so they sits, and now im not worried about them falling off the edge of the roof 😅

Scrolling through these beautiful spaces ya'll made and I cant help but laugh at my creation. I rent an apartment on the 3rd story of a very old house, and my landlords live below me, so mounting anything was definitely out. Thinking of all my options I realized our bathroom window opens up to about a 4 foot long ledge, and we have ornamental attachments to the roof that I could thread a piece of pvc through. From there, I came up with this idea. I have 0 building experience, and I think it really shows here. I didnt measure anything, and I didnt have any tools other than a wire saw for the pvc, wire cutter for the chicken wire and zip ties to hold it all together.I sourced old bricks and turf from around my neighborhood, so the whole project was less than 50 dollars. Its hideous, but stable enough that the cats won't fall off the edge, so its good enuf in my book haha
