He1000V3 and IER-Z1R
I'm used to speakers. So I'm very biased towards IEM. Pocket salt. I'm satisfied with just the Timeless.
I demoed the IER-Z1R and HE1000V3 a while ago. I wanted to test the V2 as that is what is known to be the best, but I can't find it.
The Z1R is very flavored, almost distorted. Nothing neutral about it. I put it in deep. Almost painful fit. Almost Etymotic deep. Sure there is soundstage. Sure the bass is nice. But everything else is distorted. I cannot justify buying it.
V3 is... an upgrade to the Arya? In most ways. Soundstage? Better. Technicality? Better. Vocal? Worse. Comparatively weird, hollow sounding. A lot more comfortable. I can justify the price difference, but not justify purchasing it over Arya.
Is the V3 that much different form the V2? What is the difference? Vocal? Soundstage?
