Just got my first "road style" bike after only ever having mtbs

picked this bike up for around £100, I've never owned anything even close to a road bike/hybrid bike, only ever owned mtbs. I was so impressed with how much less effort it is to cycle one which got me thinking of potentially doing long distance work on this bike or even traveling with it

I've already got a frame bag, pannier rack and panniers from another bike, so it wouldn't be too much investment into luggage, thinking of getting some fork bags and the like

would it be possible to bikepack on one of these, are they durable enough? thinking of getting some slightly wider knobby tyres for light trails but in

as a side note, my seats not that short. the guy who sold it to me had a frame size (or two) too large. I have the seat about half way up in its post and it seems to fit me well
