ETA I appreciate the thoughts & advice.. so now the question is, can anyone recommend an appropriately strong light that'll work with an inflatable SUP?

The state where I paddle only requires white 360 degree lighting for night paddling. Where I go, traffic on the water after dark is almost nil. My board is inflatable, so rather than deal with clip lights I thought I'd just wear my NoxGear running vest (lighted).. visible from about a quarter of a mile and waterproof enough. I always carry a flashlight or headlamp just in case, too. Is this adequate?
