Hi everyone,
I mainly play CS2 and I’m kind of stuck between upgrading my monitor. I’d really like some opinions from high elo / experienced players.
CS2 is my main game (I play it 5–6 days a week).
I only play single-player / AAA games maybe 1–2 days on weekends, and I also watch movies on my PC.
Right now I’m using:
- ASUS TUF 27" IPS 2K 260Hz
- I’ve been playing CS2 on it for about 1 year
- I’m Faceit Level 10
- I don’t care about tournaments or pro scene, but I really want to become a better and more consistent player in Faceit
My only concern with my current setup is:
- 27" feels slightly big for CS2
- I feel like I might perform better on a smaller esports-style monitor (24")
Now I want to upgrade and use my current monitor as a second screen.
My options are:
Option 1: Zowie TN (360Hz or 540Hz)
If I go Zowie, I will ONLY use it for CS2. My current 27" IPS will be used for:
AAA games
single-player games
movies
general use
Option 2: OLED 500Hz (or high refresh OLED)
If I go OLED, that monitor will become my ONLY main monitor:
CS2
AAA games
everything else
My main dilemma is actually not just Hz… but:
- 24" vs 27"
- TN esports setup vs OLED all-round setup
I feel like switching to a 24" esports monitor might actually help me become a better CS player in terms of focus and consistency.
At the same time, OLED looks like the perfect all-in-one solution.
So my question is:
As a Faceit Level 10 player who mainly plays CS2 but doesn’t care about pro tournaments, what would you choose and why?
Is the competitive advantage of Zowie (360/540Hz TN) still worth it over a high refresh OLED in 2026?
