Shelter advice?

Due to my (18F) mom and her husband kicking me out in the near future (May 1st), my school counselor has helped me find a shelter that I will be able to stay at until I head off to college. I can't find much information about it online other than that it's in a decent area, has 12 beds, and was renovated in 2019, and my counselor said I would have my own room there. It also hosts youth activities.

I've never stayed in a shelter before, and not being able to find much information about this one is making me a little anxious.

What is it like to stay at a shelter like this? What's the proper etiquette behind everything? All advice appreciated 😭
