Community spotlight: u/SandyisBlessed is running IRL $AWR meetups in the Philippines — and she's building what real crypto adoption actually looks like

This is the third member shoutout we've done here, after Loran (@LacenLoran13415) and Charlie (u/Charlie_awr). If you missed those, the short version is: we're making a point of recognizing the people quietly holding this community together, because without them there's no community to talk about in the first place.

Today we want to spotlight u/SandyisBlessed

The photo above isn't staged.

That's a room full of real people in the Philippines — beginners, veterans, curious first-timers — all holding signs that read "I will retire. We will retire. All will retire. $AWR." Sandy organized that event. And that's not the first one. It's not the second one either. She runs multiple of these in-person meetups every year, bringing together people from across the Philippines to learn about crypto, connect with each other, and actually do something in the real world instead of just posting about it.

If you've spent any time in crypto, you know how rare this is. The space is overwhelmingly online, overwhelmingly anonymous, and overwhelmingly talk-first, build-later. What Sandy is doing is the opposite of that — and it's exactly the kind of grassroots, boots-on-the-ground community building that moves projects from "interesting tech" to "things that actually matter to people's lives."

What she actually does, day to day:

  • Shows up on Reddit every single day to answer questions, welcome new members, and help people find their footing — especially folks who are brand new to crypto and feeling lost
  • Organizes and leads in-person $AWR community events in the Philippines, several times a year, at her own initiative
  • Bridges the gap between total beginners and more experienced holders, which is genuinely one of the hardest things to do well in any crypto community
  • Does all of this without asking for anything in return

Why this matters more than most people realize

The Philippines is one of the most important crypto markets in the world. It has one of the highest crypto adoption rates globally, a massive remittance economy, a young digitally-native population, and a real appetite for financial tools that work outside the traditional banking system. When someone like Sandy organizes a room full of people to learn about $AWR in person — in their country, in their language, with their neighbors — that's not a marketing event. That's actual adoption happening in real time.

Noise is cheap. Hype is cheap. What Sandy is doing is not cheap. It takes time, energy, logistics, money, and the kind of quiet leadership that doesn't get rewarded by algorithms but absolutely gets rewarded by history.

A pattern is forming

Three spotlights in, the common thread is clear. Loran shows up every day. Charlie showed up 400+ days straight and rebuilt from zero when his account was taken down. Sandy shows up daily and translates that online consistency into real-world impact on the other side of the planet.

None of them are loud. All of them are consistent. That's the recipe.

So — thank you, Sandy.

For every event, every late-night Reddit reply, every new person you've personally walked through their first wallet setup, every sign in that photo. You're making this community — and honestly the broader crypto space — meaningfully better.

If you're reading this and haven't followed her yet: u/SandyisBlessed Go say hi. If you're in the Philippines or passing through, keep an eye on her profile for the next event.

Helping communities visualize their conviction

Hey 👋

r/All_Will_Retire is looking at how it can support communities with a vision as well as strong community members with conviction by providing tools to them.

To this end we built a bot on X that we believe will help your community visualize your conviction in new ways - via actions your community members already take, DCAs.

No wallet needs to be connected. It uses public onchain data.

We are interested in collecting feedback to make the bot both useful to communities as well as help grow it and are onboarding any person and community FOR FREE.

Please send a follow to the bot on X: https://x.com/dcaANDawrbot

Would love to onboard people/communities so reach out. We will get you setup and explain how the bot works as well.

If you want to get started on your own you can follow the steps in the quickstart guide.

Sacred Signs - Family

Our signs are sacred

They separate us from them

Whereas they would rather wander alone, which humans aren't built for

We open our arms to those that need a home and invite them to our family

Sacred Signs - Foresight

Our signs are sacred

They separate us from them

Whereas they can only see what is

We are able to see what can be

The quiet grind matters more than the hype — shoutout to Charlie (u/Charlie_awr), who showed up 400+ days straight before losing his X account

A little while back we put up a post thanking Loran (@LacenLoran13415) for everything he does around here. Today we want to keep that thread going, because the longer we run this investing and retirement community, the more obvious it becomes: this whole thing runs on the backs of a handful of people who just keep showing up.

This one's about Charlie.

A quick thought first, because it's the whole point:

The quiet phases are the ones that actually matter. No hype. No attention. No constant validation. Just you, your conviction, and your willingness to stay consistent when it feels like nothing is happening.

That's the stage where most people lose interest. It's also the stage where the few who stick it out build a real edge. Anyone who's ever tried to grow something from scratch — a following, a skill, a small business, a creative project — already knows this. The early days are exciting. The middle is brutal. Most people don't make it through the middle.

Charlie did.

400+ days of showing up

Charlie is one of our most dedicated members, based in France. For over 400 consecutive days, he showed up every single day on X. Posting. Making videos. Sharing photos. Leading by example. No viral chase, no algorithm games — just quiet, consistent building in public.

And then, recently, his X account was taken down.

If you've ever had a social media account banned, suspended, or permanently locked, you know how gutting that is. Years of work, thousands of followers, connections, and content — gone, often with no warning and no real recourse. It's one of the hard truths of building on a platform you don't own.

But here's the part worth paying attention to: Charlie didn't quit. He rebuilt. He's now active on Reddit as u/Charlie_awr, and if you valued what he was doing on X, this is where his energy is going now.

Honestly, this might be a good thing

A loss for X, genuinely a win for Reddit. This platform tends to reward the kind of long-form, community-driven, consistent contribution Charlie was already doing — arguably more than X ever did. His content fits here. His voice fits here.

So if you've got a minute:

  • Go follow him: u/Charlie_awr
  • Engage with his posts the way you'd want people to engage with yours when you're starting over
  • Say hi — after 400 days of showing up and then having to restart from zero, he's earned the welcome

The bigger picture

Communities aren't built by the loudest voices. They're built by the Lorans and the Charlies of the world — people who show up on day 3, day 30, and day 400 with the same energy, whether anyone's watching or not.

If you're in your own quiet phase right now and it feels like no one's paying attention: somebody is. Keep going.
