High elo support, climbing as adc for the first time
Im a peak top 1500 Euw support player, currently a casual player the last 7 seasons hitting master tier and then decaying. As a change i swapped to smurf account and played adc thru platinum up to diamond in 100 games. I played mostly yunara and lucian, now im trying to learn xayah.
First of all - wave management of the average adc in low dia is pretty bad. This is and general macro is what wins me most games. In a prio lane, stacking wave and getting a base off at 450 gold and buying cull while support holds the wave is such a winning formula. This is my main advantage in this elo.
Also if you win a 2v2 early and have a heavy engage support you can freeze wave —> all in —> bounce the wave and repeat. One example is me being 130 cs vs 30 as lucian/thresh lane vs varus/leona.
Where i struggle - what is the most reliable way to spread my lead into the map. Ofc i can get prio and roam off that, but in a game where im the only fed player what should i look for? Is it bounty hunting? Ping pong waves mid / defending? Going high risk high reward?
Back in the day it was rather swap to top and seige than swap mid. Now swapping mid and getting prio seems only worth because it enables support + jubgle with that prio. But the Adc isnt really exceeding there most of the time, atleast not me.
Im currently d3 50lp. Main goals right now are average 8.5-9 cs/min. Decrease my average deaths from 7 down to 4 xd.
Any general tips are welcome regarding key factors when it comes to carrying as adc.
