Soldiers who shot hostages had shoot on-sight orders for all men

This is testimony from one of the soldiers in the incident. Their commander denies it, but also says that “it was standard procedure for Hamas terrorists to be killed by soldiers even if they had no weapons on them.” How would they identify people in the field and determine they were terrorists if they weren’t armed? And killing unarmed people is quite famously a war crime. The only way that makes sense is if the order is as the soldier says, to kill all men on sight on the automatic assumption they are Hamas. And that led to three hostages dying, as well as making it clear that there were orders to kill people even if they were unarmed.
