Yeast infection? Allergic reaction? Please help!!

My baby just had this rash pop up yesterday and I’m trying to figure out what it is but I’m a new mom so I’ve never seen this before. For context I took over from my husband for my “shift” and when i went to change him i saw he had THIS! The skin obviously had something on it and was very shiny so i asked him what the hell he put on and he told me he slathered him in aquaphor diaper cream. We’ve never used this before, we always use the zinc oxide diaper cream and have never had any rash whatsoever (he’s 4 months old). I can’t tell if this is from yeast or an allergic reaction from the aquaphor, or my MIL suggested he’s allergic to something I ate? He’s exclusively breastfed and I do use lanolin cream on my nipples but I’ve been doing that since he was born. He wears kuddos diapers and I use Millie moon wipes. Please help I don’t know what to do but I feel so bad!

For about a week my 3 month old son has been refusing to eat both by bottle and breast. He is exclusively breastfed so I have changed my diet various times throughout the week thinking maybe he was suffering from intolerances but to no avail. I took him to the ped on Monday concerned that his usual 5 oz per meal had become 1 oz at best, and he seemed in pain (gnawing on his hands, crying inconsolably, ect). The ped said there were no signs of teething and he didn’t have an ear infection; basically that he was completely fine even though I know what’s normal for him and he’s been anything but normal. Last night I realized that it had been about 8 hours since his last pee diaper so I told my husband I wanted to take him to the ER (the ped had said at the Monday apt that as long as he was voiding and gaining weight, there’s no cause for concern). My husband wanted to try once more to feed him and was able to get him to sleepily drink 100ml during one feed, and 70ml during another. When my baby woke up 9 hours later he still had a dry diaper so I opted to go to the ER. Once at the ER they mentioned they were going to catheterize him to test for a UTI, which I consented to. When the RN removed his diaper she saw that he was intact and asked if the foreskin retracted for us. I told her we have not retracted it and I went back to comforting my hysterical baby. When it seemed like the procedure was taking too long I stood up and looked down to see that she had fully retracted his foreskin to expose the urethral opening and place the catheter resulting in a very bloody and swollen penis. Following this I informed her that the foreskin should not be retracted to any degree as it is fused and would retract on its own during puberty. The RN, NP, and MD all argued with me over the course of the day that this is common practice and would not cause any long term harm (contrary to what I’ve read). I’m going to follow up with my ped this week to ensure everything is okay, but am I right to be concerned? He’s peeing normally and started eating again after some Tylenol (the only thing helping him eat as he apparently has a viral infection resulting in blisters at the back of his throat-hence the refusal to eat). I’m just really concerned that they may have caused long term damage to my baby’s genitalia. Please offer some peace of mind or reassurance.
