So I recently got a PS3 so I could play some games that were never ported to PC. I’m trying to update it from firmware 4.75 to 4.92. I got the update file from someone, but the PS3 can’t recognize the USB, even after formatting it to FAT32.

I’ve tried two USBs (32GB and 64GB), and both give me the same ‘No applicable data was found’ message. I’m at a loss I can’t find a fix anywhere and don’t know what else to do. Both USBs are 3.0, so I was thinking maybe that’s the problem, but since they’re formatted to FAT32, it shouldn’t be. I’m genuinely going insane.

If anyone can help or knows what to do, I’d really appreciate it.
