hello. I'm Oli, french geek, otaku and gamer. please hear me out, you might like the idea a lot.

I'm building my very niche clothing brand in France, and there are many laws with, one which, if you don't have enough money to start with, you can't ask for public donations or bank's loan. but let me explain the concept first and what i did so far, then why I need help to finalise everything.

i realized after a while that as a geek, there wasnt enough, or not at all clothing shops for millenials like me who wanted to dress not flashy or show out. and i particularly loved a gift someone who went to japan brought me, an Haori. a modern one, minimalist, one that doesn't have any big print of animes or sakura trees on it, no just a minimalist yet elegant one.

the sad fact was that it was only available in Japan. I've checked online, and it was either available in China, with low or bad fabric material, and way too flashy, or mainly in japan. and I wanted more but don't feel like going to japan or buying online and wait 2 months to receive it.

so I started creating a businessplan, I went through several professional formations with many business owners who all reviewed it as viable and lucrative if it could be set up this year. I'm also planning in 3 years to open a shop in my city, to have a physical place for people to come buy it, other than being available online.

what I've done so far :

-Found the manufacturer, 3 french manufacturer who accepted to produce my haoris, in eco friendly material, 100% natural coton and linen,

-Found the shipping companies who accepted to take care of it in and out of Europe in max 7 days.

-got approved by the BGE, ( its the reference for all successful French creators )

-designed myself the clothes, sewing patterns, the minimalists graphics, and so on

-registered my creations and brand to the INPI( its a french government branch for legal issues regarding brands protections, arts, etc, and when you register there, you are world protected for 25 years )

-started building the brand's identity on social medias

-started a go fund me or Ulule campaign as for counterparts, presales for the first 200 people who will support me, while securing their haori after I receive and validate the prototypes

-Found the artists ( a big french artist actually agreed to work with me, he is waiting for more details, that's still my biggest achievementso far), the influencers, the streamers, the youtubers who are all if not most geeks too, agreed to work with me and promote everything online, because I quote most of them "we love the concept, and the fa t that you actually are trying to do something for old time gamers like us too"

I forgot to mention but there are 3 ranges in my clothing brand

1-Inversion ( black to a color, in a set of 9 colors )

2-GOD ( Geek One Day, a set of 20 designs, that rotates every 6 months, inspired by various universes like zelda, arcane, japanese pop culture, tetris or minecraft ). the goal in that range is to secure collabs wirh gaming studios like Cd projekt red for cyberpunk, or the witcher, ubisoft for the assassins creed and so on.

3-creators ( i work with a rotation of 12 artists a year who creates an exclusive on a specific haori, and no where else, so when people buy that piece, they buy a piece of art from the artist, limited to only a few world wide, and no where else, in a way it helps promoting artists world wide )

what I'm looking for the most is support on my Ulule ( french go fund me ) page, if the project pleases you and if you want like me, to see it be finalised.

I sincerely hope i could get help with this, because when the brand is all set up, in 3 years it could be a reference in the clothing industry for geeks, a big brand like uniclo.
