Is there a name for the style of hat in this painting?

I see this style of hat in a few paintings from both the 18th and 19th centuries, but I have no idea what’s called.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

Would this be something an older woman in the Regency era wear?

Sorry if this is weird to ask, I’m just curious if an older woman would wear clothes like this in the Regency (specifically between the late 1810’s and early 1820’s). Most custom content for the sims 4 for the Regency era, are more for younger women than older women. So it was hard to put these outfits together.

The outfits are everyday, formal (I was thinking of ball/maybe opera attire), outdoor wear, summer and winter.

I do know older women wore bonnets and would most likely dress in more comfortable clothing. I did use a turban for the formal outfit because I did see a painting of an older woman wearing one and I know they were very popular in the regency era.

Interesting hairstyle I found.

I was looking at Alexander II children and found out he had children with his mistress Princess Catherine Dolgorukova (he did marry her 1880). This is his daughter Princess Olga Yurievskaya.

I don’t think I’ve seen this hairstyle before, it kinda of looks like short hair to me.

How did wealthy women in the 18th century dress at home?

How did women dress in the 18th century, when they were just at home? Did they wear makeup, the big elaborate hairstyles from the mid and late decades of the century? Did they wear bonnets at home, if they were married? Did women have lounge wear, like they did in the Victorian era?

Thank you for any help you can give me.

How would a wealthy woman in the 19th century dress when at home?

Did women have clothes they wore at home, did they wear makeup, even when no one comes to visit. Did they always wear the big hairstyles of the mid to late 18th century. I have seen paintings of middle and upper class women in America wear their hair in buns, did they wear their hair like that in England as well?
Thank you for any answers you can give me.

I’ve read a couple of books from the 1990’s, but most of them were historical romance. I just want more of contemporary romance novel from the time.

What I’m looking for in the book:

- MF only please, no other partners, cheating, love triangles or ménage.

- No non-con or dub-con.

- No enemies to lovers please.

- MFC between the ages of 20 to 30.

- MMC between the ages of 20 to 40 (I do prefer the MMC to be the older one).

- No slow burn, I don’t mean insta love. I just don’t want most of the book to be them getting together.

- No abuse between main characters please.

- No constant break ups or fighting of feelings please.

Thank you for any recommendations you can give me.

I’ve done some research on the different between ball gowns and dinner and opera gowns.

I know ball gowns were shorter so it was easier to dance in (married and older women would have probably worn gowns that covered more skin than a young unmarried woman).

Other evening gowns would have been longer and opera gowns were more extravagant.

I have noticed an increase of MFC being more girly or stereotypically feminine in the last 6 years. I remember being a preteen and teenager in the 2010’s there was like a hatred towards female characters that are girly in a lot of young adult books and authors being obsession with not like other girls main characters.

Then when I started getting into new adult romance in my late teens, that there was a couple of characters that are girly girls, but a lot of them were still more tomboys.

But the past few years I have noticed a change where we’re seeing more girly girl MFC and I love it. Growing up I felt like me being girly was something that I should be ashamed of with how mainstream media and even books put down being girly.

In my personal experience I think the first book that I read that showed a girly girl character as smart and being a kind person (because the main two stereotypes are that girly girls are mean or dumb) was Piper Bellinger from It happened one summer by Bailey Tessa.

Btw I have nothing against tomboy characters just pointing out something I’ve personally noticed.

What are your opinions?

I love a good bad boy and good girl romance, like I’m pretty sure most people into romance novels are. But I have noticed that a lot of the time that if the MMC works as a tattoo artist/piercer, that the MMF character ends up getting tattoos or body piercings during or at the end of the story. I have nothing wrong with MFC getting tattoos or body piercings (as I don’t in real life, some people might find me crazy for having my first and second piercings in my ears). I’ve just been looking for a romance book where the MMC works in the tattoo industry or as a piercer and the MFC doesn’t end up getting tattoos or body piercings.

Somethings I would also like in the book:

- MF relationship (two people only, no menage, cheating or other man or woman in the story please).

- No dub-con or non-con.

- No enemies to lovers please.

- It would be awesome if there was some forbidden romance(but doesn’t have to be).

Thank you for any suggestions you can give m me.
