Is Manila their next stop after this? 👀

Phantom of the Opera is officially hitting Shanghai later this year so it’s looking more and more likely that a Manila run is on the horizon for 2027.

We probably won’t get an announcement anytime soon but this is exciting. ❤️🎭

I’ve been seeing so much musical theater rave content on tiktok lately and it looks like such a blast. I know Stagedoor has been doing this for the past 2 years and I was there last year but I don't know... it just didn’t do it for me. But I still had fun naman!

If you were at a musical theater rave, what songs would you actually want to hear or maybe songs that would have the whole room screaming the lyrics?

(Who knows baka mag-host TeatroPH hahaha jkkkkk 😂)

In light of recent posts and discussions regarding sexual harassment and misconduct within the local theater community, we, the moderators of r/TeatroPH, want to make our stance absolutely clear.

We Believe You and We Stand With You

First and foremost, we want to express our full support for the survivors and individuals who have summoned the courage to come forward. The stories being shared are harrowing, and we recognize the immense weight of speaking out against systemic issues in an industry often built on tight-knit networks and power imbalances.

Our Independence

To ensure there is no confusion: the moderation team of r/TeatroPH is entirely independent. We are not affiliated with, funded by, or beholden to any production company, theater house, or talent agency. Our priority is not protecting the image of the industry but protecting the safety and well-being of this community.

A Safe Space for Truth

This subreddit is, and will remain, a safe space.

  • We will not condone abuse. Harassment, victim-blaming, or the protection of abusers has no home here.
  • Open Dialogue. We believe that transparency is the first step toward accountability. If you have a story to tell or an experience to share, this platform is open to you.
  • Moderation Policy. We are monitoring threads closely. Comments that aim to silence survivors, derail conversations with bad-faith arguments, or harass posters will be removed, and users may face permanent bans.

If you have experienced abuse, please know that you are not alone. While we are a digital community, we take the real-world implications of these issues very seriously. We encourage everyone to continue looking out for one another and to hold the industry to a higher standard of professional and personal ethics.

Theater should be a place of creation and expression, never a place of fear.
