Feeling Left Out
Yesterday was meant to be an exciting day. First raid since hitting 60 had me dreaming of major gear upgrades and a fun few hours. Got cancelled due to scheduling issues but no matter, I could do some endgame dungeons instead.
Queued up on LFG and someone quickly messaged me to do Strat Live, which was the one I really wanted to do. Grouped filled up and headed to EPL.
This is where the problem began. I asked about Discord and they said we would join once inside. I had been trying to join the server Discord (Doomhowl) but had been getting errors when doing so- figured it was a glitch and it was time to try again.
They asked me to join them on Discord, so I tried multiple times but kept getting errors. Then I had a guildie invite me directly. It kept saying the invitation was expired or that I was banned from the channel. The dungeon group lost patience and summarily removed me. It felt bad. I wondered aimlessly for a few minutes and logged off.
Now I’m sitting here wondering how I could be banned from the all important server Discord when I don’t even recall being on there, or if I was at one point, I certainly never interacted on there. I want to group up for dungeons and quests and feel like part of my server community but instead feel ostracized. What is the recourse in this situation? Who do you talk to?
Never thought that such a trivial matter could affect my gameplay experience so much.
