I have always wondered if smaller bikes are more susceptible to losing traction due to their tire size and width. I know they are more flickable in the track in turns, but what about fast turns?

My logic says that on a slimmer tire contact patch will be smaller but maybe someone who knows more about physics can correct me.

So suppose you have an R3 and a Z900 with Pirelli Diablo tires, with their corresponding tire size and width, can they go the same speeds on turns?

I’m about to make one of those big decisions. I was initially set on the CB but then I realized that the Z900 is about the same price as a CB650R in my country, which makes it very worth considering. (Actually the z900 is about $500 USD cheaper than the Honda)

So I’m wondering, under what circumstances is the CB650R a better decision?

I’ll start with the most obvious one: passenger comfort.
