I know in years past that Micro SD cards weren’t viable. But are there any newer cards that may be viable to use for running sound / sample libraries from in order to save space?
I know this is a bit redundant. I have done some searching prior and just want to make doubly sure as it’s still a lot of money to me. So, looking for feedback first. Apologies for the redundant question.
I’m looking at getting a new MacBook Air with the M5 chip with 10 cpu & 10 gpu cores, 24gb or RAM and 1TB ssd.
Does anyone have experience with this exact configuration or something close to it?
I’m less concerned about the specs. As I’m coming from a 2011 MacBook Pro with far lesser specs. Though I have been using an old version of Logic due to that.
My main concern is Thermal Throttling. And if the newer version of Logic works with these specs.
I’m by no means a power user. I’m running on average 20-30 tracks. EZDrummer 3, some guitar modeling, soft-synths and vox / instrument tracks.
If anyone has feedback I’d greatly appreciate it.
