I am trying to see if I can upgrade my 15A outlet to 20A in my garage. There are no markings on the wire to see if it’s 12 or 14 gauge (Should I pull out the wires more to see the type of wire?). I will swap out the 15A outlet to the 20A outlet and swap the 15A breaker to the 20A breaker as well if the wiring permits.
