I noticed the flags in Indiana are going to half-staff today and figured I’d share why, because I always end up Googling it myself.

It’s in honor of Captain Seth Koval, who was killed in action overseas in support of Operation Epic Fury on March 12, 2026

Honestly, I never really know the reason when I see the flag lowered, you usually have to dig around to find out. So I ended up making a simple app that sends you a quick notification and explains what’s going on (both national and state level).

Not trying to push anything on anyone, just thought some of you might find it useful if you’ve wondered the same thing.
