Are my eyes... screens?
Last night I was lying in bed. I always see a lot of light reflections on my retina, which is why something is always forming in front of my closed eyes.
Setting: Dark room, 12:30 a.m., lying on my left side, with the door and the alarm clock behind me, the window blacked out.
From the left (coming from the mattress), light keeps flooding into my field of vision and disappearing... then coming back and disappearing again. I think to myself, “Okay, can I control this?” and think further: “Come back.” That works 2–3 times. Then from the right, like a flash of light—my right eye goes pitch black and a small image appears, like on a monitor with a glitch. The blackness over my left eye was normal, dark, not pitch black... after 1–2 seconds, everything was back to normal.
I lay in bed with my heart racing, thinking only, “WTF.”
What the hell was that?
