Started column 102.
I had a good day of writing yesterday, getting close to sixteen lines done (which is well more than my average.
I also got to write another large letter. The next one will be in Sefer Vayikra.

Apparently, my insurance company thinks I got cancer as an occupational injury. :)
This was for a visit to my oncologist and chemotherapy.
Don't worry... I'm not worried about it. I'm actually pretty happy with my insurance company. I'm sure they'll figure it out in the end. (And I have a backup insurance that pays for anything my main company doesn't.)

Shemos 33. Column 101. About two-thirds of the way through Ki Sisa (which, in this parsha, means I just started Revi'i :D ).

Hi, everyone! I hope you're all doing well.
Time for our monthly check-in for those who are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer or their caregivers. You can describe how you're doing (hopefully well) and how things are going well for you (feel free to include personal wins that aren't cancer-related, if you like).
My personal "check-in" will be in a comment below.

I finished column #100 this morning. Over 60% of the way done with Ki Sisa (and still only in the second aliya!).

Here's a short video of me writing yesterday morning. It's not exactly the best video in terms of quality (despite my having a degree in Television & Radio production), but here it is.
As always, comments and constructive criticism are welcome and appreciated.

Halfway done with column 100. Finished Exodus 32, began 33.
I also plan to post a video of me writing shortly. Keep an eye out for it.

A fascinating post by Rabbi Mordechai Pincus about a Sefer Torah called "The Patchwork Scroll" (I don't know the origin of the name), written in the mid-1800s. He discovered a misspelled word that no one had ever corrected before. Imagine a Torah having a typo that no one caught for nearly 200 years...

Almost done with column 99 (and with the yeriah). Hope to finish it before Shabbos.

In the beginning of Parshas Metzora (in chapter 14, specifically), the word מטהר appears fairly often. In every case, the word has a chirik under the mem (מִטַהֵר) except for one place - in passuk 11, where there is a shva under the mem (מְטַהֵר).
The distinction is important because the meaning changes based on the vowel. The word מִטַהֵר (with the chirik) refers to the person who is being purified. With a shva, however (מְטַהֵר), it is referring to the kohen who is purifying the metzorah.
