A couple months ago, I got a Wide 300 for $30 from the thrift store with its lens stuck in zoomed in position. Fixed it for ten minutes, and resold it on eBay for $250. Okay, nice...

Last week, I found another one for $20 with a corroded battery terminal, cleaned it up with distilled vinegar, and still no life. So I listed it for $199 (according to sold listings, broken Wide 300 goes for that much). Not even five minutes and someone bought it, even though it was listed for parts only.

And oddly enough both cameras were bought by someone from China. Why is this?

Is the Instax Wide 300 really that sought after, or is this China-only thing? I'm just curious.
