My Second IOS app Released !

My Second IOS app Released !

My second app is now available on iOS — Vybe.

Vybe is like Letterboxd but for games. You can log the games you've played, rate them, and track your gaming history. It's completely free and has a database of more than 5,000 games.

Your feedback means a lot to me — this is a solo side project and every comment helps shape what comes next.

Download and enjoy! 🎮

Kararsızlığın getirdiği harekete geçememek

Yaklaşık 4 gündür düşünüyorum. Yazılım yazılım yazılım... Neye yöneleceğim ?

- 6 Yıla yakın Flutter ile uğraştım. Firebase - Supabase - AWS - Postgresql vs

EDİT: GO ile kodlama yapmaya karar kılındı. En son zaten yaptığım Vybe projesinin arka kısmını go ile yazmıştım. Şimdi oradan devam edeceğim. Teşekkürler.

Nereye Gidiyoruz ?

You know that feeling when someone asks "what games have you played?" and you just... blank?

I had 200+ games across Steam, PS, mobile — no idea what I'd finished, what I'd abandoned, what I actually liked. My backlog felt like a to-do list I'd never finish.

So I built Vybe. It's a social game tracker with 5,000+ games where you can:

- Log games as Playing / Finished / Backlog / Dropped

- Rate and review them

- See what your friends are actually playing right now

- Discover games through people you trust, not algorithm-driven ads

Think Letterboxd but for games. No monetization BS, no "top 10 games of 2024" listicles — just your library and your people.

Just launched on Android. iOS coming very soon.

Would love brutal honest feedback from people who actually care about their game libraries.

👉 Vybe

(Yes I know there's Backloggd, GG, and others. Happy to talk about how Vybe is different in the comments.)

You know that feeling when someone asks "have you played X?" and you genuinely can't remember if you played it, half-played it, or just watched someone else play it?

That's why I built Vybe.

It's basically Letterboxd but for games. Log what you've played, rate them, write notes, build lists, follow friends to see what they're into.

Still early (open beta, Android now — iOS coming soon) so rough edges exist. But the core loop works great.

If your backlog is a mess and your memory is worse — give it a try. 👾

So I've been building a side project for the past few months. A game tracking app — think Letterboxd but for games. Just shipped Android.

For the backend I made a probably-questionable decision: no Gin, no Echo, no Fiber. Pure Go, standard library, everything handrolled.

What I loved:

  • Full control. I know exactly what every line does
  • Surprisingly clean middleware chain with just net/http
  • Deployment on Railway with a simple Dockerfile was painless

What actually hurt:

  • Writing boilerplate for every route got old fast
  • Error handling is... verbose. (yes I know, it's Go, cope)
  • Had to build my own small router wrapper eventually anyway, so maybe I should've just used chi

Paired it with Supabase for Postgres + auth, Flutter on the mobile side.

iOS is coming soon. It's open beta so it's rough around the edges — but shipping beats perfect.

Anyone else gone no-framework on a real project? Worth it?
