NEED HELP AS A BEGINNER HIKER WHO DOES NOT KNOW WHERE TO URINATE
Hello! I’m still pretty new to hiking, and one thing I’ve become curious about is how hikers deal with bathroom breaks during long hikes or in crowded trails. I realized it can be harder than it sounds, especially when it comes to convenience and privacy. I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences and preferences so I can better understand what hikers actually go through.
(Please mention if you are a male or female hiker.)
- When you’re on a hike, do bathroom breaks ever feel inconvenient or difficult for you? Why or why not?
- Have you ever used a portable urinal or any kind of urination device while hiking? If yes, how was the experience? If not, what made you avoid using one?
- If you were to use a urination device while hiking, would you prefer using it while standing or squatting? What makes that more comfortable or practical for you?
- Have you experienced situations where it was hard to find a private or comfortable place to urinate during a hike? What do you usually do in those situations?
- Are there any features you wish portable urination devices had to make them easier, cleaner, or more comfortable to use on trails?
- As someone new to hiking, is there anything important about bathroom breaks on hikes that you think beginners should know or prepare for?
