I've played Racing 2.0 five times and still have no idea how it's supposed to work
Tonight was my 5th time playing Racing 2.0 and I've got no clue on how to actually play. Here's what I've learned so far:
Hitting barriers is usually bad.......but not always. I've seen my opponent blast through them like nothing and I've done the same.
Switching lanes slows you down......but not always. I've had games where at the beginning there's a fuel pod in each lane. I stay in the middle to grab that one while I see my opponent move left or right and then back to the middle, and yet I get passed.
Ramps are good.......but not always. I lost two games tonight where I never ran out of fuel, my opponent never hit a boost ramp and I was never close to them.
Running out of fuel is obviously bad. It doesn't appear that more fuel makes you go faster. Fuel builds up until you hit a boost ramp, from then on the fuel level decreases the rest of the race and more fuel pods are needed to replenish.
Congrats, AE game developers! You made another minigame with inconsistent game mechanics. I'm so proud of you.
