When should you contact customers?

Hey! I just started doordashing a few days ago. One question I had is when do you guys contact customers? I haven’t messaged anyone yet (I forget the message button exists tbh) and I know its best to be as low contact as possible, just deliver the food. But are there situations where you should? Long waits, etc? How much does the time delay have to be for you to contact?

Personally I’d rather not contact the customer whenever possible but just wondering whats the norm. Thanks!

Activity Spike After Cold Snap?

Hi! So I live in a ground floor studio apartment in New Mexico and when the weather warmed I started getting Turkestan roaches (catching maybe 5 - 6 a week).

I tried bait and all that but eventually I bought Alpine WSG and that stuff is amazing! Activity dropped and I caught like 2 nymphs and found 1 dead adult over the last 3 weeks.

However last night, THREE adults appeared in my kitchen. Two were in traps and one dead on the floor. Three in one night?? How does that even happen?

I checked the weather and last night we seemed to have like an overnight freeze? It got to 40°F overnight.

Is this worth panicking over or was it because of the cold? Is this normal? Should I retreat everything or is it too soon?
