James Gadson, Legendary R&B Session Drummer and Architect of Hip-Hop Breakbeats, Dies at 86

We lost an absolute giant. If you don't know his name, you definitely know his playing. James Gadson was the drummer on Bill Withers' "Use Me," Marvin Gaye's "I Want You," and Diana Ross' "Love Hangover." He even played on D'Angelo's "Voodoo." Ray Parker Jr. posted a tribute saying he changed the world.

Natoya ‘Jha Jha’ Handy, the Unapologetic First Lady of Dipset, Dies
