안녕하세요 :) 26F, 아제르바이잔 사람이에요. 모국어는 아제리어인데 터키어랑 비슷하고 제가 터키 미디어를 보고 자라서 두 언어 모두 모국어처럼 할 수 있어요. 영어랑 한국어 능력이 고급 수준인데, 한국어는 말하기 연습이 부족해서 아직도 서투른 것 같아요. 그리고 제 전공이 한국어이고 한국으로 유학 갈 예정인데 거기 아는 친구가 있으면 좋겠어요. 저는 내성적인 사람이고 취미로는 그림을 그리고 록 음악을 듣고 K-드라마/영화를 보는 것을 좋아해요. (특히 공산화학, 범죄, 심리학, 시간여행 등) 요즘 FTIsland, Placebo, CNBLUE 같은 밴드 노래를 들어요. 관심이 있는 분 DM 보내주세요 ^_^

Not sure if it's autism-related or it's just shut-down response. An autistic friend of mine also said the same thing. Not only hunger, but it's like I don't have the "wanting" feeling. I used to have anticipatory anhedonia since childhood actually. I heard of smth called dorsal vagal shutdown which is not universally accepted by scientific community, but I think it explains a lot of my symptoms. I think my anhedonia might be vagus nerve-related. It gets better with meditation. I feel like my body just needs a safety signal to come out of its shell. It's been years but idk, small improvements happen. It's not easy to recover when your subconscious is full of negativity that's built up since childhood.

This is just an appreciation post for theanine. Honestly, I have severe anxiety stemming from overthinking, so much so that I have physical symptoms due to it: skin turning red, way too much oil all over (overproduction of sebum). All of them are related to high cortisol stemming from anxiety. But damn, theanine is a blessing.

I’m not exaggerating. I’ve been taking it for more than a year now daily, and it works. Oh my god, it works. It keeps cortisol in check all the time, and I can tell because even today, if I miss it for 2 days in a row, it all comes back (all overthinking and stress). But if I don’t skip, it’s a new me. A normal, normal life, no burden on my mind. It’s all good. I used to cut down on caffeine completely, thinking that it affects my anxiety (which obviously it does), but with theanine daily, I can have my 2 cups a day and still just be a normal human being. No burden or overbearing thoughts in my mind. Simple happy life. Making this post so that someone out there might benefit from it.
