My dad has a new neighbor from hell
My dad has been having fun walking a tightrope since this "Karen" moved in next door to him. One of the first things she did was cut down the 6 foot hedge that was "on the property line" according to her, she did that when my dad was gone of course. Though my dad has been told by other neighbors the hedges belonged to his house and that he should make her pay for replacing them. After cutting them down to the ground she soaked the ground in roundup to make sure the hedges wouldn't come back. Then she got downspout extensions and has them aimed to exit to his driveway. He confronted her about that and she spat back "It isn't flooding your basement is it! Didn't think so! So I'm not moving them!" Then walked away before he could even respond. Today since he has a cold/flu I went to his house and mowed his lawn for him. The neighbors downspout extensions were in the way of mowing the strip of grass next to his driveway so I bent them out of the way. No sooner than I restarted the mower "Karen" storms over yelling at me. I had my noise cancelling headphones on so I paid no attention to her and went back to mowing. I noticed when I got done with his front yard and was headed to the backyard that she made sure to re aim the extensions further over the property line so they definitely would empty all the rain water into his driveway. I told my dad he should put some patio blocks in front of the extensions to redirect the water back to her lawn. I'm glad she's not my neighbor lol.
edited to add my dad doesn't like confrontation so he tries to avoid it.
