Love and Respect to you all

I’m a Man United fan, but have always held a fond place for Leicester in my heart.

When you guys steam rolled to the summit of the PL, I was cheering for you. Your win reminded me of wins we had with our class of ‘92. Such hardworking and easily likeable players in Vardy, Drinkwater, Morgan, Schmeichel.

The type of football that was played that season was incredibly exciting- I wish we saw that again instead of this boring tiki taka all the time. Oh how thrilling it was to see those through balls to Vardy who’d rip through defences and finish with such vengeance. Truly, that season- I kind of enjoyed your team so much more than my team. Vardy smashing van Nistelrooy’s goalscoring record against us and I wasn’t even a bit mad because man, was it amazing to watch him. In my Uni, where I was team captain, I actually discussed with our coach to try and replicate that gameplay because I was so mesmerised by it.

And when you guys lifted the trophy, boy did I cheer for you lot. The fans and the city deserved every bit of that win- it was incredibly romantic and poetic. You gave us hope, gave football hope that miracles exist and fairytales are real.

Hold on and stay proud. You are still a club with history and pride. Yes, times are hard and this is rock bottom but you’ll come out of it. Look at Coventry, look at Luton. You’re wonderful people, some of the best football fans in the country. In these difficult moments, you have our solidarity and our respect.

Long live the Foxes 🦊
