(Childhood collection, favorite games, and nostalgia rant)

Like many, my interest was rekindled a few years ago, and has been piqued yet again

I did some digging and found whats left of my collection (context, I grew up sharing all games and consoles with multiple siblings)

You wouldn’t believe it by looking at it, but I have a huge love for the Pokemon games. Once upon a time, I owned Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold with the walker, and Black and White

Today, not a single one remains :’) I chalk that up to being young, sharing with siblings, lending to friends who took advantage, and people being shady when gaming during Scouts when I was younger. *Pain*

Yet somehow I own 2 Mario Karts and 2 Mario Parties lmao, I wish I could go back and spectate younger me to see what/where my other games went and how I own multiples now

My most played games were Platinum, Heart Gold, Black, Kirby Super Star Ultra, New Super Mario Bros, Mario Party, Mario Kart, Sonic Rush, and Nintendogs

I pulled the trigger on matching DSi XL and New 3DS XLs recently (not pictured), I’m happy to own and keep something in new condition for myself, I’m eager to hunt down my favorite games!

Last but not least, here’s your reminder that *yes* Call of Duty Black Ops for DS is a thing that happened and exists in this timeline lmao

I bought a New 3DS a few years ago, and finally got curious about checking out Spot Pass

I was confused on why I already had a Plaza Population of 3, come to find out it’s the old owners!

I though the sub might find it cool, here’s their Miis and their last played games

Super cool to see, also makes me feel old. The model having come out 15 years ago… Where does time go

Are they friends? Brothers? I wonder where they are now… I’ll be keeping their Miis as my honorary first members, here’s to meeting people on here the old fashioned local way 🤞🏼
