IIL They Might Be Giants and Tally Hall

I have listened to both these bands for most of my life (especially TMBG because I literally grew up on their kid albums too) and I wanna find more music similar to it

I love how eccentric and catchy they are!

IIL Dead Kennedys & Fugazi

I am just now starting to get into some punk and post-hardcore music. I would love some suggestions for a new listener!

My favorite song so far has been Soup Is Good Food by Dead Kennedys.

I have started to really enjoy this type of music because of how fast paced/energetic it can be, and how it can have a heavy energy while still being catchy/fun to listen to

Songs/Albums that are fast paced, heavy, and catchy

I tried to make the title as wide as possible without it being unhelpfully vague. But I am looking for something that just scratches the itch in my head. Recently music has been boring to me, I haven’t found any good new music lately.

I like a decent amount of different music, but the main music I enjoy is more on the rock/alternative side.

A few of my favorite bands are Pierce The Veil, They Might Be Giants, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, XTC, Tally Hall, Origami Angel, Scissor Sisters.

For the sake of narrowing down what I’m looking for, I’ve recently been loving electro-Industrial and post-hardcore

Here is a list of the songs that I like in that direction:

God Given - Nine Inch Nails

Pore - ohGr

Take It Like A Man - KMFDM

I’ve Seen Footage - Death Grips

Musica Electronica - yeago (I know it’s more electronic but it scratches that itch)

Fur Lined - How To Destroy Angels

Empty the Clip, the King Has Been Slain, Long Live The Queen - Fall of Troy

The Sky Under the Sea - Pierce The Veil

Blue Dream - Dance Gavin Dance

Underneath My Skin - Origami Angel

All in my Head - Computer

Soul is Good Food - Dead Kennedys

Horror Show - Rueben

Convient Parking - Modest Mouse

Helicopter - Bloc Party

Cut Self Not - Faraquet

Counterfeit - Limp Bizkit

I am not the type of person who is super strict about genre. Generally, I’ve been liking heavier stuff recently. I tried to provide a wide range of songs that scratch that itch, specifically in the way they are energetic.
