Hi everyone! I’m an international student deciding between USC Marshall and BU Questrom for an MSBA. I’m currently torn on whether the USC "prestige" is worth the higher cost, especially since I have a $20k scholarship at BU, making for a $24k difference in tuition alone.

I know USC is generally ranked higher and carries more brand prestige, but for a specialized MSBA, does the ranking carry enough weight to justify the premium?

Post-grad, I’m targeting SF, Boston, or NYC. While I’m open to different cities, I’m not particularly tied to staying in LA long-term. BU seems like a strong logistical choice for the East Coast, but I don’t want to overlook USC if its network provides a much better pipeline into SF tech or higher-tier roles for international students.

BU’s program is 12/16 months and USC’s program is 18/24 months based on internships. Dragging out the program might make sense with the current state of post grad employment for international students. I’d love to hear from anyone who has experience with either program’s placement and brand recognition in those specific hubs. Thanks!

I know USC is a top choice for undergrad business, but for a specialized MSBA, does the brand name carry enough weight to justify the premium? Including the scholarship and the higher cost of living in LA, the total financial gap is pretty significant.

Is the Trojan network worth the extra investment if my goal is to land in SF or NYC? I’d love to hear from anyone who has experience with either program’s placement and brand recognition in those specific hubs. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I got into both USC and BU’s MSBA programs and was just wondering what the general consensus would be when picking between these two schools.

I have a 20k scholarship from BU. I’m also an international student (Northeastern University grad). I know for undergrad, usc would be the easy choice especially for business but for a ms program, does it even matter as much? I also prefer either Boston/NYC/SF post grad but not LA.
