Hello everyone!

First time Galaxy flagship user here. Ive been using a mid-range Honor 90, and before this, a Galaxy A12 (OneUI 4.1) which was a horrible experience that made me think all Samsung phones are like that. Well, after a long debate on getting either Galaxy or iPhone, I picked up my first flagship ever, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. I ditched the S25U because it has some issues + higher price for the same thing and the S26U's horrible display quality and downgraded cameras. I also have the Galaxy Watch 8 LTE paired with it, and soon, the Galaxy Buds.

To be clear, I picked up a refurbished unit, New like condition (no scratches or dents at all), and they have also installed a brand new battery for me too, 256GB Black.

My first impression is that this phone is awesome, apps open instantly, it handles multitasking easily, the chipset inside is an absolute powerhouse and will be for the next years, the display is beautiful, the cameras are light years ahead of most phones. And remember, this is extemely far from an outdated phone, its still among the best as of today.

Well, I love the phone. I love the shape, the phone looks absolutely beautiful and premium, it gets full monthly updates until 2031, the OS is awesome, it has top notch specs, everything is cool.

The issue? Ive picked up the phone exactly 3-4 days ago, and my issue is that I think the phone is unusually hot, and the battery drains pretty quickly. Also, is it me, or is the quick panel animation sometimes laggy (or maybe its the adaptive refresh rate that shifts it to 60hz-ish).

Is this normal? I did not transfer anything from my old device btw, and I am running OneUI 8 on April 5 2026 Patch, GP System updates is April 1 2026.

Also, some facts about the phone or useful tips as a newcomer to the flagship party?

Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone.

Just got the S24 Ultra and I am currently wondering if it supports satellite capabilities as of now. As I understand, the S24 Ultra does have capable hardware, the Qualcomm X75 modem, which is capable of NTN and Snapdragon Satellite, and the antennas that are already wired inside. However, from what others have told me, the feature is not enabled from software, but with OneUI 8.5 that might be changing, as I saw lots of posts online about the S24 Ultra getting a dedicated Satellite Connections menu in the Settings App.

So, does it support satellite connectivity or is it a hoax?

Thanks.

Salutare tuturor.

Multumesc.

Hello everyone.

So I've recently switched all into the Samsung ecosystem after staying off the brand for a few years. I went for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy Watch 8 LTE 40mm, and now I'm looking for earbuds to replace my Huawei FreeBuds 5i.

So for reference, I also have a MacBook, and I need some buds with good ANC, with good sound quality, battery life, and ecosystem integration, as well as some extra cool features.

Should I go for the Galaxy Buds 3 base, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, or get the Galaxy Buds 3 FE? The only issue I find with the base is that it does not have the silicone tips, and I am used to having these, so it's a big issue for me.

In your opinion, should I pay 50€ more to get the Pro, or is the FE just enough and mostly fine for me? And, is the difference noticable? Or should I ditch Samsung for the buds and get Huawei buds?

Thanks.

Hello everyone.

So I'm currently looking to pick up my first ever flagship phone, and I'm currently thinking of going for Samsung this time. Coming from the Honor 90, I believe any phone in the S series will be light years better anyway, but I need help picking a phone.

So I'm currently debating to choose between the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S25 Ultra or the Galaxy S25 Base.

I mainly use my phone for daily stuff, and I want a very good camera, good battery life (not having to charge it twice or three times a day), good performance for animations, apps, and the normal stuff, and a cool looking phone that also has advanced features (OneUI covers this, with DeX, advanced multi tasking, and all that). I already have the MacBook for more advanced stuff, so the phone will be somewhere in the middle. I also play games, but not always, rarely. I don't care too much about the performance unless it affects daily usage, and if the phone has severe overheating issues (as seen with mid-ranges like the Honor 90).

I also have to mention I already have the Galaxy Watch 8 LTE 40mm, and I also plan getting my next earbuds from Samsung too.

Now, I see at least here in my country, the S25 Ultra is at least 140$ more expensive, and I don't think it offers much over the S24 Ultra to really justify the bloated price. And the S26 Ultra is at least 300$ more offering basically almost nothing new, except a few downgrades (poorer display quality and view angles, worse physical camera specs, widespread mic issues, and all that), but it also has some new cool features like Privacy Display and Horizon Lock. All phones have 7 years of updates, and as I said, I believe any of these phones will be superior to the Honor 90, it will probably be miles better than any mid-range or near-flagship on the market.

I only had a Samsung A series until now, and I never had a flagship Samsung device. I intend on keeping my device for at least 2 years, but at most 3 years. So I might be wrong about what I said earlier, but correct me if I'm wrong (about the differences between the generations).

So, in your opinion, which phone should I pick after all?

Thanks.
