Found this little guy, already dead, on my arm. The fine folks over at /r/whatisthisbug told me it was a louse and the automod sent me here. A couple of questions -

1. Is it a specific kind of louse? Or are they all kind of the same?

2. I don't feel itchy personally, but it was found on me. Does that indicate that I'm the one with the issue, or might it be one of my kids (6F, 4M)? What's the best way to figure that out?

3. What should be priority for cleaning? Pillowcases? Do we just burn the hats that might be affected or can we salvage them somehow?

4. General next steps. I'm guessing special shampoo? Do we need to call an exterminator, or by doing some laundry and using the shampoo will we be okay?

ETA - I'm in suburban Southwestern PA, USA.

This guy was on my arm and I think already dead. I don't think it's a bedbug, but still not loving the look of him. It's the only one I've found.
