When a parent says "say dada" or "say Mama" why does the baby say just "Mama" instead of replicating the whole sentence, "say Mama"??? Like how do they know they're not supposed to say the first part .
And if it's because "say" is hard to pronounce for a baby why don't they make a similar noise instead of saying just Mama/dada
So, what the title says. I'm in the last year of highschool, and recently my mother went to school and got told "I seem uninterested in history and philosophy / sociology classes", and that, therefore, affected my grades because they are also grading what they call "process."
Issue is, I am interested. At least I have that impression and I don't know how I can be wrong about that.
My biggest issue is with the accusation I'm not interested in history as a subject. It has been my favorite subject for years and I'm even interested in pursuing it for college. Every single school I've been in been studying in before this one says I am VERY interested in it, so I don't understand why this school seems to think I am not.
My grades in history are perfect. I turned in every assignment on time and got an "A" in all of them, as well as tests, which in my opinion is not something you can easily achieve being uninterested in humanities, so I don't know what's going on. Even with all A's in assignments and tests I somehow still got a "B" on my bimester's grade, also.
I do draw in class, but I would have stopped if my teacher had ever complained about it, which he hadn't, so I assumed he understood I was capable to focus and draw too.
I have diagnosed depression so I can often seem apathetic and tired, but I'm completely sure it is extremely unethical to judge a student because of that. How is my mental health a reason to demote my grades?
I also missed a lot of classes because I got very sick for the duration of two weeks. Again, not a reason to get the bad grades I got, especially since I have various doctors notes, but alright.
I seriously do not understand what's going on. Can any teachers shed some light on why I may be coming across as uninterested based on this post?
P.s : I live in Brazil, if that changes something!
edit: someone commented that the correct term would be uninterested so I corrected it!! can't correct the post's title tho unfortunately
