My dad died after a rapid decline in a Calgary hospital — how do I investigate his care
My dad passed away recently in a Calgary hospital after a sudden decline. I’m trying to understand what happened and would really appreciate any advice on how to review his care or request medical records.
This has been incredibly overwhelming. From my perspective, there was a significant amount of waiting and too little intervention while he was clearly getting worse. I raised concerns as his condition declined, but I felt they were dismissed or not taken seriously. At one point, I had to ask multiple times before someone came to assess him, which has been especially difficult to process.
I’m struggling to make sense of how things were handled and whether more could or should have been done.
