How to get lovebirds comfortable with me?

Hi everyone. I adopted a pair of lovebirds a week ago. I have watched many videos and read alot about these birds, but I want to hear from you guys. For the past week, I have been replacing their food and water every day as well as cleaning their cage. 2 days ago, I moved them to a bigger and better cage (i wanted to transfer them slowly, but my dad grabbed them and put them in the new cage, but they seem to be doing fine now). Every day, I will put my hand inside for a couple of minutes just to get them used to my hand, but whenever I do that, they go to the farthest corner of the cage and stay there, frozen, waiting for me to move. They also do this when I walk past too close to them, or when replacing their food and water. They will fly to the furthest corner and stay there, freeze, and watch my movements.

I am not forcing them to interact with me. Whenever I replace food and water, I do it slowly. I always ensure that my hand movements are slow and predictable. When I lay my hand on a perch to get them used to it, I make sure im not close to them so they dont get scared.

Am I doing the right thing guys? Please give me advice

Btw, I forgot to mention that they have been raised by humans, and spent their life with good owners. They are around 3-4 years old

Thanks all!
