UFO Nonsense Distraction

The Consumer Price Index rose 3.8 percent in April from a year earlier, the Labor Department reported on Tuesday, up from a 2.4 percent annual increase before the conflict started in February and a 3.3 percent increase in March.

The economics team at RSM, a consulting firm that specializes in forecasting, projects that as the supply shock from the war in the Middle East works its way through the U.S. economy, inflation will peak “at or above” 4.5% on annual basis sometime this summer.

Unless these UFOs are going to take away, the toxic idiot in the white house, we should stop getting distracted by these bogus stories.

"Let the people decide" UFO Framing.

I hate the "the people can decide for themselves" framing as if all opinions were equally valid. We need to discus proper epistemology of belief. Science does not invite arbitrary speculation and give equal weight to every crackpot notion. You need to formulate hypothesis, collect evidence, perform experiments and open your findings to peer reviewed critique. This is how we further human knowledge and understanding. Everthing else is just psychic fortune telling.

Pigeon Hole Principle

Remember you should never try to put more than one pigeon in your hole. Actually, even one pigeon is too much.
