Defective Saturn - constant static noise

Constant static audio noise, that's new (in game, or in menu). Other than that, everything works as it should.
I've tried the composite cable, as well as my usual RGB cable from Insurrection Industries, through a Retrotink-5x. Later at home, I will attempt the same on a CRT TV, but Retrotink works perfectly with other machines...
Could this be the PSU that need replacing? No idea, just thought it was very similar to this problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1F8mhIQ2BQ
I do have a Saturn V3 Universal modchip installed in 2017, which has been soldered to the connector and working every since (visible in the photos), so I wondered if this could be aging PSU ? Also replaced the battery, unplugged and power-cycled the console with no effect.
"To power the V3 Universal chip, use a piece of insulated wire to connect the 5V pin on the Saturn's internal power supply to the solder pad on the corner of the mod board that is marked '5V'".
