Just started playing Fuga, I'd like some tips....
What would be the best support character for each character? I don't know if any guides for it exist. Are some combinations better than others?
What would be the best support character for each character? I don't know if any guides for it exist. Are some combinations better than others?
Examples:
-Nick Wilde (Zootopia) replacing Nick in season 1
-Hunter (The Owl House) replacing Hunter in season 2 and All Stars
-Sam (Total Drama ROTI) replacing Sam (Fans VS Favorites)
-Anastasia (from the 1997 movie) replacing Anastasia (Carnival Of Chaos, Fans VS Favorites)
Do any of you think it's controversial to begin with because more often than not, the character being targeted by the rude character is autistic or neurodivergent coded?
Look at Benji in season 4 and Ivy's whole stick comment as well as Finn going off on Oliwia. Also, whatever the heck is going on between Ara and Gabby (too broke to afford Patreon so I must wait until it drops on Youtube).
I think a lot of people getting triggered by those characters getting negative attention may be neurodivergent or on the spectrum themselves and may be projecting. Benji himself isn't officially confirmed to be autistic but he's strongly "autism coded" if that makes any sense.
It would make sense for people to jump in and defend these characters, especially if they had to deal with bullying IRL and the scene brings them back to more negative spots in their life.
I'm saying this as a Disventure Camp fan who has autism and ADHD myself.
Has anyone else considered this angle while looking at the problem?
I'm currently working on a novel that's a bit....strange. It's heavily inspired by the indie cartoon series Disventure Camp which is inspired by Total Drama Island and Survivor. I have 20 chapters planned out for it. Here's some things to know about it:
-The main setting is a spaceship but the challenges take place in a simulation chamber that can take the form of pretty much any environment ranging from jungles to museums to casinos to the North Pole and so on.
-The cast consists of 16 semi-anthropomorphic dogs competing for the prize of 1 million dollars (Basically, quadrupedal dogs with clothes and opposable thumbs like the dogs in All Dogs Go To Heaven or No North). Humans have gone extinct in the universe and dogs have taken over society.
-Almost half of the characters are LGBT in some way (some of the characters include a trans-male Doberman Pinscher with albinism, a nonbinary borzoi, a gay couple consisting of a husky and greyhound, a lesbian couple consisting of a dalmatian and Labrador retriever and a gay male collie who is a major villain in the story). This is because I'm queer myself and it's inspired by Disventure Camp which has a lot of LGBT characters in it.
-Dogs age in human years. The youngest competitor is a 9 year old corgi pup and the oldest is a narcoleptic sheepdog in his 50s.
-In every chapter except for chapters 1, 6, 11 and 18, a dog gets voted out from the losing team and is ejected from the ship much like how contestants from Survivor get voted out. Teams merge at chapter 10.
Currently, I've written 8 of the 20 chapters and I'm liking how it's going so far (I'll have to go back and rewrite non-copyrighted original songs for chapter 7 as it's a musical challenge). I have the entire elimination order played out in my head as well as the winner. If I complete this project, I'm planning on writing a "season 2" and an "All Stars" than would combine some of the most notable dogs from the first two seasons alongside some new dogs as well.
Anyway, should I consider releasing a story like this on Royalroad or is Royalroad much more Fantasy-themed than what this story sounds like? Is there a way I can release chapters on Royalroad in private for Patreons so nobody can just search my story up and read it without paying? I'd like to make money off of my work (recently quit my job in October after a nasty burnout period and I've been living off recycling money and whatever social security my group home gives me. I'm just not in the mood to deal with things like work dress codes and stuff and am looking into more creative pursuits where I can make money off of my writing). I'm thinking of releasing chapters monthly once I finish writing chapters 9 and 10.
If not Royalroad, what would be a good platform to post my kind of story on? Should I just stick it on Patreon itself or post it on a separate site?
So I had this absolutely insane Disventure Camp dream last night where a new season was announced called Humans VS Animals. Here's what I remember from it:
-The cast was about as big as Fans Vs Favorites.
-The animals team consisted of anthropomorphic animals who looked less like Total Drama/Disventure Camp characters and more like Franklin characters. Like hand drawn 90s cell animation. The art style contrast was apparent when they interacted with the humans team.
-The only human I can remember on the humans team was Natalia. Benji and Aiden were also in the dream but I'm not sure if they actually competed.
-The most popular animal character by far was Ricky who was this sad little homeless street urchin raccoon who was often on the verge of tears
-A bear character named Unruh ended up getting voted off the animals team at the elimination ceremony. He was known for having a teddy bear that he'd do a ventriloquist act with and a richer, snobbier bear (apparently the season's villain) mocked him as he got eliminated
-A new twist called "hot Cheeto" was added to game where a vote for a random character on the losing team would just fall from the sky and count towards elimination
-There was a weird B plot where Benji worked at a hotel in Australia. During said B plot, an angry businessman stomped a fairy to death in the hotel which angered a nature goddess who targeted the hotel with natural disasters like hurricanes and fires. Benji agreed to appease the goddess by sleeping and playing around in a large mud puddle the goddess called "the love mud".
-When the hotel got hit, Aiden and Tourettes Guy (who were apparently guests) had a huge argument over it before agreeing to work together to drive off in search of supplies to help aid the hotel. They ended up carjacking a truck where Pip (the Mexican mouse from Barnyard) was asleep at the wheel in the hotel parking lot before peeling off. When Pip got kicked out of his truck, all he could say was "What the hell just happened?"
-The whole hotel subplot was framed as like a zombie apocalypse type scenario minus the zombies.
And that's pretty much where my dream ended. Also, I had Costco cheese pizza and white chocolate macadamia nut cookies before bed.
I'm so glad this trope is dying out these days, especially as someone who is gender noncomformist and goes by he/they pronouns. More often than not, it dumbs down characters and turns them into strawmen and straw women. Just a bunch of sexist, toxic mudslinging fueled by misogyny/misandry.
It was so notable in the 90s and early 2000s but whenever an episode like this comes on, I'd just switch the channel. Even as a kid, I was disgusted by these types of episodes that pitted boys against girls. Even worse when they painted the girls as smart and men as incompetent idiots. The Fairly OddParents is a particular glaring example of this.
What do you think would happen if Tristan was in Total Drama Island/Action/World Tour/All Stars while Gwen was in Carnival Of Chaos? How would the elimination order be effected if the goths swapped series?
I've been playing Shining Force 2 on my Switch and I'm at the point where I have to rescue Elric from the Harpy's pond. As soon as I got the Vigor Ball, I promoted Sarah but realized I don't have any knuckles weapons. Is there anywhere I can get some so she isn't unarmed?
It's been a while since the comic dub released. I'm guessing that's the reason?
