Software Refund Refused - Repeatedly!

Since Turbo Tax required Windows 11 for their Windows software this year i tried using Block software only to find that it was uncapable of calculating medical premium deduction on a return that included a Schedule C. Ironically that was the same reason why i switched from Turbo Tax to Block 11 years ago. I appreciate that when the required recursive calculation was new over a decade ago Block may have struggled implementing it, but after a decade i was shocked to be reminding as to why i had switched to Turbo Tax so long ago. When i found it failed to work I got Turbotax and filed. Then i called Block to request a refund and was given a case number and email address to contact with my receipt. After a few days i receive an email reply rejecting my refund request stating that "after CAREFUL REVIEW" they denied a refund because they do not guarantee e-filing. If that was not enough. in the same email they also said they denied a refund because the request was outside of the 60 day return period, when it was not. So i replied to Block that I was disappointed in their failure to stand behind their software and informed them that i would file a dispute with my credit card company. This time they replied promptly stating that since i have opened a dispute with my credit card company they denied my refund request - their third time to do so. What a pitiful company that take a learning opportunity, and customer satisfaction opportunity, and turn it into a fiasco that has earned them unmeasurable animosity and negative comments on social media platforms.

Total Base / 5G / 5G+ Renewal Amount Problem

Folks on the old Total Base 5g Unlimited, Total 5G Unlimited, and Total 5G+ Unlimited plans are seeing crazy high renewal rates in their account.

ie, one account that has two lines on the Total 5G Unlimited plan with BYOD discount normally see an autopay renewal amount of $55, but is now seeing $172.

If you are on one of these old plans, what does your renewal rate say?

EDIT:

Have also seen a $25 unlimited talk/text 1gb data Legacy Total Wireless plan that usually renews for about $27 with sales tax now with a renewal rate of $80.16 Doh!

Unable to Purchase Legacy Plans with Reward Points

The website refresh has eliminated the 'Activity' page from the Rewards site, and has disabled the ability to purchase a 'Bonus Service Plan' with reward points for those on Legacy Total Wireless plans. Have seen these features removed from multiple accounts. Appears they are forcing us to call in like they now require to get a network transfer pin.

New Rate Plans!

New Plans are now live as of 5/13/2026!

They seem pretty similar to the prior Total Base 5G Unlimited, Total 5g Unlimited, and Total 5G+ Unlimited plans offered between 7/11/24 and 5/12/26 with the biggest changes being the costlier 5th line and a major change to the hotspot included at each level.

They call them Total Starter, Total Max 5G, and Total All Access.

A single line on these plans cost $40/$55/$65 like previous plans with $5 off with autopay for the first month (in other words, not every month) (except for the first month). Mutli-line discounts apply to additional line on the same plan in the same account:
Pricing for additional lines on the Starter/Max 5G/All Access are
Line 2 $40/$30/$30
Line 3 $10/$15/$15
Line 4 $10/$10/$10
Line 5 $30/$/$30/$30

The plans all have 5G with Max 5G All Access including 5G Ultra Wide.
The plans all have Hotspot. Starter limited to 10 GB, Max 5G and All Access 'unlimited' but throttled to 5 mbps and 10 mbps respectively.
Starter roams in Canada and Mexico, and has free calling to 85+ countries.
Max 5G and All Access roam in 140+ countries, and have free calling and texting to 200+ countries.
All Access also includes Disney+, a $10 international calling credit, and 1tb cloud storage.

There is also a Total Max 5G BYO plan that is $25/mo for the first line. More on this later as the multi-line pricing on that just seems wrong.
