Hi everyone, I’m in a confusing situation with my status and could really use some clarification on the 90-day restoration period.
My Timeline:
- PGWP Expiry: February 12, 2026.
- Study Permit Applied: Before my PGWP Expired (Inside Canada applicant).
- Study Permit Refusal Date: April 10, 2026.
My Questions:
- When does my 90-day restoration period start? Does it count from February 12, 2026 (when the PGWP expired) or April 10, 2026 (the day I received the refusal)?
- Am I eligible to apply for a study permit while on restoration since my PGWP expired? My original plan was to study, but now that the initial application was refused, I’m unsure if I can try again as part of my restoration application.
- My initial study permit application was refused because of missing police certificate.
I’ve read conflicting info, some say the 90 days start from the permit expiry, but since I had maintained status until the refusal, I'm hoping it starts from April 10.
Thanks in advance for any insights or experiences!
